Steps to Reduce the Back Pain:

1. Posture:

As your child develops, your center of gravity shifts forward. You may respond by leaning back to prevent falling forward, which can compress the muscles in your lower spine and contribute to back discomfort during pregnancy. Keep these healthy posture guidelines in mind:

  • Maintain a high chest position.
  • Stand tall and straight.
  • Maintain a relaxed and backward posture with your shoulders.
  • Make sure your knees aren’t locked.

Good posture is all about how you sit, stand, and choose a chair for sitting that supports your right back. When you stand, use a wide stance and a low step stool to support your feet, and take frequent breaks if you need to stand for long periods.

2. Proper Lifting:

Squat down and raise with your legs while lifting a tiny thing. Don’t rise with your back or bend at the waist.

3. Sleeping Habits:

Sleeping on your side is a better option than reclining on your back. One or both knees should be bent. Between your bent knees, beneath your tummy, and behind your back, place pregnancy or support pillows.

4. Complementary Therapies:

Physiotherapy may help with right back pain during pregnancy, according to some studies. Some women may benefit from chiropractic therapy as well. More research, however, is required if you’re considering attempting supplementary therapy, see your physician first. Ensure the chiropractor or acupuncturist knows you’re expecting.
