For the Love of Freebies
Despite our best attempts to thwart blatant marketing attempts, we all are drawn to something free. Want to sell an idea or get your name out there, offer something for free. The internet, of course, has become the mainstay of freebie marketing. Many, if not a majority, of manufacturers offer free gifts or trials through the company website. Some websites have gone a step further and created a directory of the free offers of others.
It has fallen to internet marketers to compile lists of offers and accumulate those offers in a freebies archive. Entire websites have been developed to offer consumers a simple list of the free samples of various products or free trials of services companies offer in hopes of enticing new clientele. Visiting a single site can now yield hundreds, or perhaps even thousands, of dollars in free items.
A quality freebie directory organizes offers into categories and makes it simple to navigate and find offers that interest you. While free is certainly exciting, nobody wants to waste time or energy finding samples of products they will never use or have absolutely no interest in.
A wise marketer knows that offering something free of charge is overwhelmingly tempting to the average citizen. By making it even easier to find those free items, some marketers are appealing to not only our desire to avoid paying for one more thing bust also our need to find and get it now. Offer it, make it easy to get, and they will come in droves.
