Memorabilia
Memorabilia or events and souvenirs that keep a track of things that are of importance ant take one down memory lane. The oldest and most common such collection was the photo album. Photographs of different occasions and events are stored here for future reference. Parents usually started a collection of photographs of their children as soon as they were born and kept adding to this memorabilia as time went on with the birthdays and other such “D” days happening in the child’s life. With modern technology there was the movie camera, the handicam and the CDs and DVDs that were used for storage of such important events.
Collector’s items are another way of keeping memorable events and meetings with famous people alive. Brochures from theatre performances, autographs of famous celebrities that are met, bats and T shirts off the field of famous sports persons while playing an important sports event, photographs of actors, musicians and sports persons with their autographs on it, and many more such things which help people to bear testimony to memories of fond events.
The scrap book is a very informative memorabilia and though it may take years to accumulate the information in it, it is always a pleasure to look through the pages and relive events that happened years ago.
