Wholesale
Wholesalers of goods sell their merchandise to other retailers to be resold to various buyers. This merchandise is also sold to commercial and industrial buyers for their own use or for their outlets. The wholesaler also acts as agents for certain products.
Goods that are in bulk quantity are re assembled or re packed by the wholesaler into smaller lots and according to the grades before they are distributed to retailers. This is because the wholesaler gets the merchandise in large quantities from the manufacturers and this amount cannot be sold in the same condition to the retailers who need only a small quantity of the stuff.
The wholesaler needs ware houses to store their merchandise as they have to buy the goods in bulk from the manufacturers and then distribute it as and when required to retailers in smaller quantities. These goods are sometimes exported to other countries by the wholesaler who has the dealership of these items and the licenses to sell them to other countries. All commodities and consumables have whole sale dealers to market and resell the products after getting them directly from the manufacturers. The manufacturers do not entertain buyers who require small quantities and prefer to sell their products to wholesalers in bulk, as they take the responsibility of finding a market for these goods.
