Niche

“Niche” is an area of focus in any field. The niche area is the main area of concentration.  Niche marketing is the marketing of a certain product which is given the prime importance. Concentration on any one focal point is there in any line of work and if the subject specializes in it and creates a very singular space for himself, then he would have created this slot for himself as this specialization would be his main forte. Carving a groove in an area where there are several others who function in the same subject but to create a special name for ones self is to create a niche area.

This can also refer to spaces and nooks and corners in homes, gardens, shopping arcades and cozy corners which could be a pocket in the midst of many other things and yet stand out from the rest. Keeping a low profile yet being noticed because of the exceptional qualities that are seen in any product, place or person is what makes them so special and puts them in a niche space which is the focal point of the zone they are in.
