Crafts

The art that is created with ones hands is a craft and each country has its own specialized crafts. In many countries there are different crafts from the many states that are in it, and each one is very unique compared to the others. Crafts are generally a huge tourist attraction as they are the main buyers of artifacts when they visit countries abroad. This also creates job opportunities for the local people and encourages them to produce more stuff that is popular and sold quickly to the visitors.

The craft of each area usually depends on the natural materials that are available in that location. Like on the seaside holiday spots there are a lot of bobbles and decorative items made of shells. Similarly these beach locations also have palm trees and mats and figures made of the palm leaves and coconuts are found here.

Brass, china, terracotta, carved wood and stone, lace and picture making are all forms of different crafts. Schools and many other institutes also incorporate craft teaching as one of the extra curricular activities. This encourages those who have the aptitude for it to pursue it as a hobby or profession further and excel in it one day.
